Within minutes of it starting, viewers of the new ITV show Romeo and Duet were not impressed with the format of the new dating show. In her first solo presenting performance, Oti Mabuse was leading dating-come-singing show, with the first episode airing on Saturday (April 16) night.
The show sees singles trying to earn a date by winning over fellow singletons with a karaoke song. The matched couple then performs to a studio audience after going off on a date and learning the song together, and the pair who win the vote get to go on another date.
But viewers were quick to express their criticism as they said they were switching off within minutes of the new show starting on ITV, reports Birmingham Live. They took to Twitter to comment.
