ITV posts cryptic Love Island return hint leaving fans puzzled

ITV has got viewers into a frenzy over their latest social media post which has hinted that Love Island could be back on our screens sooner than you might expect.

Show bosses took to Instagram to share a photo of this year's new host Maya Jama, with the 28-year-old television host pictured beaming with the words 'May(A)' hinting that the show could return this month.

But with its winter series having just wrapped up only in March when Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned the winners, it has left fans of the reality show confused by the cryptic social media post.

"Love Island again??? It's just finished," penned one fan in the comments, as another wrote: "not long til our fix," as they tagged their pals.

And despite the confusion among some fans, others were thrilled at the news, with someone else quipping: "I love Maya Jama," as they shared a series of heart emoji's and excited faces.

Another penned: "Yesss! Can't wait," as they also shared a series of heart emojis on the post which has racked up over 3,000 likes since being posted last night.

It's almost hard to keep up with the popular reality show now, which sees singletons enter an exotic villa in a bid to find love. Aside from their long-running original series filmed in Spain, there is also now a winter series which has just concluded.

And in a bid to widen the scope of the show, it was previously reported that another new spin-off to the ITV show The Romance Retreat will give the opportunity for single mums and dads to have their crack at ever-lasting romance.

The Masker Singer judge Davina McCall, 55, was announced to be fronting the other spin-off, so its fair to speculate its their usual summertime show returning.

The popular TV presenter who was the face of Big Brother for years confirmed the news on Instagram with a video sharing her excitement for her new gig.

In the clip, she said: "I manifested and I made it happen. I willed there to be an amazing new dating programme for grown-ups, people who have lived a life, who have been through experiences, bad, moving, they've had tough lives.

"They've got luggage but they deserve love and it's happening. It's coming to ITV soon."
