Murder in Provence filming locations
Murder in Provence was largely filmed on location in Aix-en-Provence in southern France. Speaking about filming in Provence, actor Nancy said: "Provence is really the main character of the show – that landscape, with all the colour and the extraordinary light, provides such escapism, and it was a real privilege to film in that part of the world. It was touch and go for a while whether we could film there because of the Covid situation at the time, but we had brilliant producers who made it work by the skin of their teeth, and it was really exciting."
Nancy added that the series is "really a love letter to the south of France" as she commented on the "beautifully untouched places in Provence with the cobbled squares and the fountains."
Executive producer Alison Owen added: "Provence is one of the most beautiful places in the world, painters and photographers head there for a reason. So we really wanted to get a lot of that beauty on screen, not to mimic it, but to be in the right place."
