ITV Malpractice viewers were left tense and 'screaming at their TVs' as the show ended on a cliff-hanger in its third episode.
Main character Doctor Lucinda Edwards has become embroiled in a drug network supplying fentanyl to addicts after the death of GP Rob. She was in a pharmacy trying to get paid for supplying the fentanyl when she finally switched on her phone to see missed calls from her partner Tom.
Just a few scenes earlier, Lucinda's daughter Abi was seen crawling under the bed before the doctor went out. Moments later, Tom found Abi, sat motionless, a packet of pills clutched in her hand.

He rushed her to the hospital, where he explained to Lucinda's colleagues that she'd taken some Diazepam he'd had for a shoulder injury. Abi's fate was left to next week as Tom and doctors desperately tried to get hold of Lucinda - the episode ended as she finally switched her phone on and sprinted towards the hospital.
Viewers almost couldn't handle the tension from the moment they realised Abi had taken the pills.
Angela Thompson tweeted: "OMG ! Omg Abbey has taken the pills ! Am screaming at the TV #Malpractice"
