One couple will be crowned the winner of Love Island on Monday night as the eight-week long series reaches the final. Viewers have watched the ITV dating show every night as the batch of single contestants fell in love, fell out and formed strong friendships.
During Sunday night's episode, Paige Thorne and Adam Collard narrowly missed out on a spot in the final after being voted the least compatible couple. This now leaves just four couples including Dami Hope and ndiyah Polack, Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page who are each in with a chance of winning.
Their final days in the Majorcan villa saw each of the Islanders reunite with their family and friends after spending months apart with no contact to the outside world. Things got emotional as the Meet the Parents episode aired on Sunday which saw Michael Owen's daughter Gemma reunite with her mum Louise and Luca get teary-eyed as he was greeted by his mum and dad.

Hoping to get the seal of approval, the Islanders quizzed their parents on their thoughts of their partner.
Gemma's mum and Michael Owen's wife Louise admitted that she wanted Luca to be with her daughter from the very start.
"Guess who I voted for you to be with, it was Luca," she laughed.
"I just knew he'd get your banter and sense of humour and he has. You've gotten on really well and you can see that. You just need to see what it's like on the outside."
Meanwhile Luca's mum Maria said: "The first night when she said 'you're a Bish, that's a weird name' we just said 'they fancy each other'. I knew it, definitely.
"I love the values and morals she has. Close to her family and respectful."
His mum then added: "I love that you both understand each other's banter. I'm really happy for you Luca."I can see you are very similar, hot-headed, we've laughed, we've cried and then there have been times when I've wanted to give you a good telling off."
Luca's parents then told him that he occasionally 'over reacted' to certain situations in the villa, which led Luca to ask about his rows with Tasha where he has been accused of bullying.
His mum said: "Luca, when you come home we will have a chat about it. But do you know what, you've resolved it. That's the main thing. Yeah, you did overstep the mark."
Luca replied: "If I've done wrong then I know it and hearing you two saying it, I know it even more."
But during the emotional reunions, Love Island fans were left baffled after the contestants were unable to hug their family or friends.
Ahead of the family members entering the villa, voice over Iain Stirling said: "The parents are here. Sadly they still aren't allowed to hug or kiss so they'll have to stand two metres apart whilst nodding at each other."
The awkward scenes saw the Islanders in tears as they had to refrain from hugging their loved ones and stand at a distance. This is the same protocol as last year's series and is due to Covid-19 restrictions.
However, with the final just days away and the couples soon leaving to go back out to the outside world, viewers said the show's decision to keep the contestants apart from their families was 'cruel' and 'didn't make sense'.
@CheekyVic wrote: "How cruel can you be for not letting them hug their family, social distancing is over as @Hassan241 added: "Why can’t they hug? they’re leaving in 2 days this is kinda cruel."
@GGLouF tweeted: "Nah but it's so stupid that they can't hug. They've been sat on a plane with 200 other people to get to Mallorca, gone through the airport with thousands of others and cant even hug their own kids? Make it make sense."
@K28Mads also pointed out: "They could hug every new bombshell that walked in but not their own families? Make it make sense."
