ITV Love Island viewers ask if they're watching the wrong show after Islanders make sudden change

Love Island fans have been left baffled after noticing a bit of a difference on the ITV2 show this week. Viewers have picked up a 'strange' change during the last few episodes, which has made them wonder whether they are watching the wrong show.

This week the dramatic fallout from Casa Amor continued as the new Islanders mixed in with the original contestants. At the start of the week Jacques O'Neill tried to win back Paige Thorne after it was revealed he kissed new girl Cheyanne whilst Paige was away in Casa Amor.

But just a day later, after season four contestant Adam Collard made a shock return to the villa, Jacques chose to quit the show. After the rugby player was seen getting heated as Adam got to know Paige, Jacques left the Mallorcan villa to focus on his mental wellbeing.

Emotional scenes on Tuesday night saw the 23-year-old reveal his exit to his fellow Islanders which saw both him and best pal Luca Bish in floods of tears.

Wednesday night's show saw Adam attempt to explore connections after choosing newly single Paige, Summer and Danika to go on three separate dates. The episode also saw Luca and Gemma go on their first romantic date outside of the villa as well as Brit Award-winning singer Becky Hill's performance in the garden.

Love was in the air in Thursday night's episode as the first recoupling after Casa Amor took place. Adam picked Paige, whilst Dami Hope chose to rekindle with former flame Indiyah Polack after the pair both strayed in Casa Amor.

Luca Bish and Gemma Owen recoupled once again as the pair later dropped the L bomb, with Luca confessing his love for Michael Owen's daughter, telling her: "I think I'm in love with you. I do love you and that's it."

Thursday's show also saw Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page make their relationship official as Tasha planned a romantic treasure hunt around the villa with help from her fellow Islanders, before asking Andrew to be her boyfriend.

Elsewhere in the recoupling, Casa Amor contestant Josh Le Grove, who came back from Casa with Danica Taylor, chose to recouple with Summer Botwe, who was previously coupled up with Dami.

Both new on the Island, the couple began to get to know each other after their Casa Amor romances failed to work out, and last night the pair shared their first kiss.

But it was during some of Josh and Summer's exchanges that viewers picked up on a strange difference in their voices as they spoke to one another in American accents.

Fans of the show were baffled by the change, with some taking to Twitter to ask if they were watching Love Island USA instead and others calling it 'cringe'.

@StaceTheKing wrote: "These two - Josh and Summer - need to cut it out with this American accent!! It’s so cringe!!! I’m shy for them!! STOP IT!! #LoveIsland.

@TabithaD_ said: "Them all speaking in American accents is giving me the ick #LoveIsland."

@JohannaJ0906 said: "Didn’t know I was watching Love Island USA… #LoveIsland," as another tweeted: "What is with these American accents? Like seriously this is like love island USA."

Viewer @AimeeRobinson3 asked: "Am I watching love island USA? Confused."
