A shock recoupling saw Tanyel Revan becoming the latest islander to be dumped from the Love Island villa. The 26-year-old hairstylist from north London was left single during the latest recoupling ceremony and became the latest contestant to exit the ITV2 dating show after Jordan Odofin chose to recouple with Ellie Spence.
After Tanyel was left standing at the firepit following a recoupling in which the boys were given the opportunity to choose who they would like to partner up with, she told her disappointed islanders: "Oh my god guys, seriously, everything happens for a reason, don’t be upset."
Ron Hall and Samie Elishi were brought to tears over the news of Tanyel’s departure. Speaking about Tanyel in the beach hut, 25-year-old financial adviser Ron said: "I cannot speak any more highly of that girl, she is one of a kind." Meanwhile, 22-year-old estate agent co-ordinator Samie said: "Tanyel has literally been my rock in here, she is just such a great girl."

After leaving the villa Tanyel spoke honestly about her time in the villa, saying to the camera: "I had the most amazing time, I’ve come in single and I’ve come out single but I’m more than happy because I didn’t force anything and I stayed true to myself."
But in her first chat since her exit, Tanyel was asked about Ron after fans thought there was a secret romance brewing between the pair. They found themselves in a couple together twice as 'friends' after their original partners both chose different islanders to couple up with.
The pair also locked lips in one kissing challenge and Tanyel's heart rate was raised most by Ron in the recent challenge. However, Tanyel has insisted she has no romantic connection with Ron, and they are just great friends.
"I'm glad I coupled up with him the first time around because if I hadn’t done that I wouldn’t have realised how good a friendship we could have," she said. "What made me realise it was just a friendship between us was as soon as we coupled up, we couldn’t flirt. It’s like the flirting went out the window."
She added: "I didn’t expect to get on with him that well. He’s my best friend. When I get married one day, I want him to be there with Lana! Genuinely, I think he’ll be my friend for life."
Tanyel also revealed her parting words to Ron as she was forced to pack her bags and leave the South African villa. Speaking of Ron and Lana Jenkins' reunion, she said: "I’m so happy! I want them to win the show. I said to him when I was leaving, 'If you let me down, that’s our friendship done.' I’m so happy they’re together. I feel like they’re the strongest couple and they have the most genuine feelings for each other. I hope he won't let me down!"
