ITV Love Island's Tanya Manhenga proudly shares hidden health condition

Love Island's Tanya Manhenga has proudly shared her hidden health condition.

The student from Liverpool was the first contestant to be announced for the upcoming season of the popular dating programme. A new batch of singletons will enter the South African villa next week for the winter edition of Love Island.

Tanya is aged 22 and revealed she suffers with a skin pigmentation called Vitiligo. She added: "You may not even notice it.

"It's on my lip and I have a stripe on my hair. Not many people know that but I think it’s quite cute. I don’t care about covering it up all the time, I think it’s a vibe."

The biomedical student hopes to find love during her stint on the show. She said: "I’m looking for a boyfriend and I think being in a Villa with lots of different people will help me work out who it is I may want."

Tanya said "trust issues" may be the reason why she is single. She said: "I don’t trust guys. Some want to get serious really quickly, but I don't trust them enough, it’s all about trust."

The Islander described herself as "super nice" but warned there is another side to her personality. She said: "I want to be friends with everyone but if you’re gonna be cheeky I’m the sort of person that will give it back. I will bring good vibes and good energy."

Love Islands returns January 16 on ITV2 and ITVX
