New arrival Antigoni Buxton made her fellow Islanders gasp as they spotted her on a sun lounger in a teaser on last night's Love Island (Tuesday June 21). The Islanders were waking up to a new day in paradise in the bedroom as bombshell Antigoni made herself comfortable outside, and she's set to make waves in Mallorca.
Speaking in the Beach Hut about her arrival Danica Taylor, who was the new girl before Antigoni, says: “She looks like a ray of sunshine - she’s radiant! But obviously I’m like, 'What is going to happen next?' Because I still haven’t found myself a man in here."
At the fire pit, the Islanders are keen to know who Antigoni has got her eye on. And Luca jokes: “Do you fancy Jay?” Antigoni says: “I’ll have to meet everybody. I’m very much the kind of person that I don’t know if I fancy someone until I’ve had a good chat with them.”

And there could be a potential new romance between Antigoni and Jay Younger, who is currently coupled with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, on the ITV2 dating contest as he says: “Seeing someone new in the villa for the first time, it’s surreal! She’s a really attractive girl and I’m looking forward to getting to know her.”
Cypriot beauty Antigoni has been single for almost a year and a half. And she says she's going to bring 'a positive energy' to the villa. "When I’m into somebody, I’m very much all about them," she says.
"My culture is a very open, generous culture and I like to think I carry that trait as a girlfriend. I really put 100-per-cent into somebody when I like them. I would also like that back!"
Like Gemma Owen, whose dad is former Liverpool and Manchester United fooballing star Michael Owen, Antigoni has a famous parent. Her mum is celebrity chef Tonia Buxton, host of the Discovery Channel Travel and Living series My Greek Kitchen and My Cypriot Kitchen who is a regular on Channel Four's Sunday Brunch.
Sharing on her Instagram Tonia was gobsmacked to learn that her daughter had headed into the villa. "I can not believe that my @antigoni is in the Love Island Villa, she mentioned she would be sunbathing this week I didn’t think she meant in Mallorca!" she gasped.
She added: "We are all so excited for you and know you will be amazing! You have always been an island girl, so I know you will fit right in! Hoping you all love and support my girl, I know she will make us proud!
"Tune in to my stories every night where I will be commentating the show, or trying to!"
Sharing an adorable throwback photo of Tonia and her daughters and Antigoni and Sophia she also said: "If you could see my face right now, it would most likely be this! I’m so excited to watch @antigoni on Love Island this evening! So proud of the women she has become, from this sweet little girl (featuring @sophiabuxtonn being a cheeky monkey)."
Antigoni says if she had one chance to impress someone in the villa she would sing. "I would grab my guitar and play a song," she said. She says she's only been in love once. "I don’t think I’ve been in love since. I think I fall in lust and infatuation quickly."
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
