ITV Love Island's Jacques O'Neill praised for 'amazing' message about islanders leaving show

Former Love Islander Jacques O'Neill has been praised after reminding people to 'be kind' as the contestants enter their final week of the show. The 23-year-old took to Instagram on Monday (July 25) to share the message, alongside a photo of himself smiling while sitting on what appears to be a picnic bench.

His post began: "Monday is the best day of the week because no matter how bad last week was for you, it means you can start fresh and have a better week than you did the previous. Set little goals and try your best to achieve them!"

He continued: "Also, please can we all remember to be KIND this last week- Don’t forget the islanders have to come out of that villa and face it all so let’s try be as positive as we can for them getting out!"

Rugby player Jacques quit the ITV2 show earlier this month, after admitting he couldn’t "carry on like this" during some of his final scenes from the Spanish villa which aired on July 12. He left behind Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne - pledging to meet her at the airport when she eventually returns home - but she has since gone on to strike up a romance with comeback star Adam Collard, reports the Mirror.

The heartthrob has been enjoying his home comforts, including spending quality time with his mum following his Love Island exit. The reality TV star took to Instagram to open up about his mental health and share several snaps of himself catching up with pals and his beloved mum, Janet Wright.
