PrettyLittleThing has announced Love Island 2022 runner-up Gemma Owen as its latest UK brand ambassador. The 19-year-old has signed a huge deal with the Manchester-based global fashion brand just weeks after the ITV2 show ended after impressing CEO Umar Kamani.
Michael Owen's daughter is following in the footsteps of Molly-Mae Hague, who signed a big deal with PLT after her appearance on the show in 2019 - and went on to become the brand's creative director last year. Gemma is the only other Love Island contestant that the brand has signed as an ambassador since taking on Molly-Mae.
In the year-long deal, Gemma will design and release her own collections as well as help the brand launch their new resale platform ‘PLT Marketplace’ where shoppers can buy and sell second-hand clothes. She will also be sharing exclusive content across PLT’s YouTube, Instagram and TikTok channels.

Gemma signed the career-making deal after a series of meetings in Manchester this month with Umar and his team, with the deal reported to be worth six-figures, revealed exclusively by MailOnline.
Speaking on the brands latest signing, CEO Umar Kamani said: “Gemma is the perfect person to represent the PLT consumer; she’s smart, confident, ambitious and has a much loved, relatable style.
"We’re very excited to have her joining the PLT family and look forward to sharing lots of exciting content, collections and shoots with our customers”.
The social media favourite is the most recent addition to PrettyLittleThing’s host of ambassadors including Molly Mae, Alabama Barker and Jodie Woods.
Speaking on the partnership, Gemma says: "This really is a dream come true for me.
"I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special.
"The team have been amazing and I’m excited to get to work and start designing some collections for you all."
Gemma teased she had some 'exciting opportunities' coming whilst sharing a story to her Instagram earlier this month.
Sitting in the car whilst waiting for her partner Luca Bish, Gemma told her fans: "So Luca's just in a meeting, I'm waiting in the car all by myself being a supportive girl.
“I've had an amazing couple of days, yesterday was so exciting, so many opportunities, can't wait.”
