Love Island star Gemma Owen has been inundated with compliments as she posed for a brand new Instagram snap. The 19-year-old, who finished runner-up on the ITV2 dating show, was showing off her 'boyfriend fit' and quickly sent fans wild for one reason and one reason only.
Those who have followed Gemma and her blossoming relationship with Luca Bish have been eagerly awaiting for the pair to become 'official'. Despite sharing their love for each other while in the famous villa, the pair decided not to rush things and wait until they were back in the real world before becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.
But now more than two weeks on since the Love Island final, where Luca and Gemma finished in second place behind eventual winners Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, fans thought that Gemma's latest post hinted at them finally becoming an official couple.
Gemma, who is the daughter of former footballer Michael Owen, posted to her 1.9m followers an image of herself posing for the camera as she showed off her recent holiday tan. Gemma and Luca flew out to Portugal for a brief break with her family and friends while also doing some work for her swimwear brand.
The teen international dressage rider looked stunning in a glittering bandeau bodysuit which she wore with a pair of ripped denim jeans which were unbuttoned and zipped open. "Boyfriend fit," she briefly captioned the post as Luca, 23, was quick to respond, writing: "Beautiful," with a heart emoji.
Fellow islander and new friend Tasha Ghouri also offered a one-word response, replying: "Unreaaal," with a love heart eye emoji. But fans were more distracted by Gemma's choice of words in her caption.
@teamlemma2022 asked: "Is it official?" @lemmaa.x commented: "BOYFRIEND???" @mpavsp said: "Bf fit without a bf cmon lucaa." @leboringgg replied: "Is the caption a hint gem?" @gemsgf quizzed: "U AND LUCA OFFICIAL YET??"
Others weren't so worried about the status of her relationship and were instead flooding her with compliments. @ahope817 said: "Absolutely stunning." @lemmafannnn_ commented: "Omg so stunning." @gemmandluca4ever wrote: "Wow your so pretty." @meggimagda added: "Such a beauty."
However, Luca has dashed any announcements as he took to his own Instagram Story with a video as he tried to be more active on social media and start a Q&A with his newfound followers. As he spoke to the camera, the former fishmonger kept getting distracted by Gemma who was flicking bobbles and doing headstands on the bed.
When asked if they were still together, Luca appeared confused following on from his last video of Gemma in their hotel room but he then added: "Yeah we’re still together and nearly official, nearly."
