Billy Brown has suggested there is a divide in the villa following his Love Island exit. The 23-year-old made his way into the main villa after Tasha Ghouri chose to couple up with him during Casa Amor earlier this month. However, their potential romance soon fizzled out when Tasha returned to Andrew Le Page.
He went on to get to know Danica Taylor but Tuesday night's episode of the ITV2 dating show saw Danica left in tears amid the fallout from the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, which saw Billy choose to snog Michael Owen's daughter Gemma Owen as the Islander he fancied the most, and got down on one knee to 'propose' to Paige Thorne, despite being in a couple with Danica.
Following the latest challenges, Danice pulled Billy for a chat where he told her he doesn't see things moving forward with them romantically, which the 21-year-old accepted. However, she later sat Billy down for another chat, sharing her anger that he revealed their intimate night under the covers to the boys.
But the pair didn't get time to make amends as Laura Whitmore soon arrived at the 'Vibe Club' to tell the islanders that two of them would be going home. Unfortunately for Billy, he received the fewest votes from the public alongside Dami, Summer and Danica. And their fellow contestants chose to save Dami and Danica.
During his exit chat, Billy said he feels 'fine' about cooling things with Danica. "The reason I did that was because I didn’t want to waste time," he said. "I said to Danica that ‘I'd rather tell you now that I haven't felt that click rather than just carry on and we’re not going anywhere.’ I’d rather leave and know that I’ve been true to myself rather than drag it on and pretend we’re a happy couple when we’re not. We did have good times but it wasn’t a romantic thing. There is no bad blood there."
But when asked if there's anything he'd change, he admitted: "The challenge, I would’ve snogged Danica instead of Gemma. But the only reason I did that was because I knew Gemma was going to pie me and I thought, ‘I’ll have a bit of banter, give her a peck and laugh it off.’ But it turned and didn’t come out the best way and that’s my fault. And telling the boys in the morning what happened with me and Danica, I’d change that as well."
However, when probed on his villa friendships, asked if he'd made friends for life, Billy replied leaving out a couple of the original boys: "I’ve already said to Adam, Davide, Jay, Josh, we’re all meeting up straight away and going for a night out, dinner and catch-up. There are some good lads in there! We’ll be going to Ibiza."
It comes after fans of the show have previously suggested that Davide Sanclimenti doesn't hang out with the other boys, such as Luca Bish and Dami Hope, unless he has to.
Billy's exit comes after his family admitted they wanted to 'bring their boy home'. And he had some words for Dami after he was saved over him. "Good luck mate! Get your proposal done," he said.
