ITV Love Island's Billy Brown's family brand show 'toxic' and want him to 'come home' after row with Danica Taylor

The family of Love Island contestant Billy Brown have branded the ITV2 dating show 'toxic' and want to 'bring their boy home' after explosive scenes aired last night. Tuesday night's episode saw Danica Taylor left in tears after the fallout from the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge.

Although coupled up with Danica, Billy instead chose to snog Michael Owen's daughter Gemma Owen as the Islander he fancied the most, and got down on one knee to 'propose' to Paige Thorne.

Following the task Danica, who has been unlucky in love during her time in the villa, pulled Billy for a chat where he told her he doesn't see things moving forward with them romantically. The dancer, 21, then broke down asking the girls' 'why it was happening to her again' and 'what was wrong with him' after yet another failed romance in the villa.

Things then got heated as Danica found out that Billy had revealed to the boys that the pair had got intimate under the sheets the night before.

During a morning debrief, the 23-year-old told the boys, "Just cracking on with it, little bit of the 'salon's open' last night," which is a hidden code word used by the girls to discreetly say if any sexual activity had taken place.

Dami then asked: "Did she play with your pipette?" to which a laughing Billy replied: "Yeah, and then the other way around."

Adam Collard, who has returned to the villa four years after he appeared in series 4 of the ITV2 dating show, then told the girls what had happened between Danica and Billy, as they were previously unaware.

As word got back to Danica, she was fuming over Billy running his mouth and confronted him.

"I thought they all knew because of the way they were acting," Billy told Danica, who then said: "It’s like a lack of respect for me."

But it wasn't until later on, when the Islanders were enjoying a VIP party outside of the villa hosted by DJ Joel Corry, that Danica aired her true thoughts to Billy.

After speaking to the girls, who told her 'strong women don't take s**t', Danica made her way over to Billy.

"'I don't feel like I got things off my chest," Danica said as she continued, "I think the whole situation with you debriefing with the boys is really f***ing out of order."

But confused by her sudden reaction, Billy told the dancer to 'chill' and said she'd 'changed her tune'.

Danica then fumed: "Do not tell me to chill. It was because I've had people come to me. They're opening my eyes to tell me how much of a pushover I've been."

But Billy, who remained calm, then called Danica 'mental' and told her to 'stop swearing'.

"You're not my mum, you're not my dad, you're not my boyfriend...You've walked all over me," she reacted.

Tuesday night's episode ended with Laura Whitmore making a shock appearance to reveal that the public had been voting to their favourite Islanders, and that the four contestants with the fewest votes would be left vulnerable.

The 37-year-old host then announced that Dami Hope, Billy, Danica and Summer Botwe were each at risk of being dumped from the Island.

The episode then ended with a cliff-hanger as Laura revealed that the decision of which boy and which girl were leaving would be left in the hands of their fellow Islanders.

But it turns out that Billy's family hope he is the boy to leave tonight, after they have branded the ITV show 'toxic' and want to 'bring their boy home'.

Instagram post from Billy's family (Instagram)

Sharing a post on Billy's Instagram story, a family member wrote: "My thoughts/opinion on last nights episode. First of all double standards is a thing. Ifeel billy was probably put off from danicas behaviour after the snog marry pie game as she took it too seriously. It's a game.

"After this, he called it a day. and they both maturely dealt with it and moved on. Adam tells the girls about the bedroom antics and stirs the pot. Ekin joins in to stir it up even more and makes out like Bill has done something the boys and girls haven't been doing every morning since the show started. And didn't Danica tell the girls about it too? oh yeah."

They added: "As soon as the beach club comes into it, you can clearly see it was set up ready for mad drama. Then the girls egged Danica on to start arguing again. At this point billy had had enough. He was confused at why the day before it was fine and now it's all mad again.

"I could tell he didn't understand why she was shouting about it now and wasn't giving the same energy to it the day before. Bring our boy home away from this mad toxic place."

ITV have been approached for a comment.
