ITV Love Island's Adam Collard addresses Paige 'split' rumours as they spend first days in UK apart

Love Island star Adam Collard has addressed his relationship with Paige Thorne after suggestions the pair had 'split' just after leaving the villa. The couple, who became 'exclusive' during the few weeks together in Mallorca, just missed out on Monday's final, leaving in fifth place on the islander's penultimate day in the villa.

Their newfound romance began when Adam, 26, became the first Love Island contestant to ever make a return as a bombshell contestant after he previously appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2018 where he caused quite the stir both inside the villa and outside of it.

While fans had high hopes for Adam to stir up the drama this time around, viewers got the complete opposite as he quickly became smitten with Welsh paramedic Paige after her love interest Jacques O'Neill quit the show to protect his own mental health following the fallout from Casa Amor.

Despite Jacques, 23, saying he'd wait for Paige, the 24-year-old explored her connection with Adam and the pair soon become inseparable before just missing out on a spot in the final four. However, eagle-eyed fans have already been asking whether things were already over for them after noticing the pair didn't seem to be together after returning home.

During a Q&A session on Instagram, one fan asked Adam: "Are you and Paige still together?" And in response, the fitness buff replied: "I bl**dy hope so since I’m seeing her tomorrow [Thursday]. Course we are, I can’t wait just family comes first x."

Paige has stayed pretty silent on her social media pages, only sharing a post to thank fans after clocking up one million followers. Adam, meanwhile, has been keeping busy by returning to the gym. Sharing a video of himself lifting weights, he wrote: "First one back. Feels heavy and feels weird not training with @davidesancli @andrewlepage or @ekinsuofficial."

He did, however, share a post of himself and Paige at Love Island's finale party on August 1. He penned: "Afterhun… second time lucky would be an understatement. I’ve had the best time in the villa this time and made some memories that’ll last forever. I can’t thank all my friends, family and all of you for the support, but I’d be lying if I said that it wasn’t down to this one for making it the best time ever and bringing out a completely different side to me @paigethorne."

After leaving the show, Paige revealed they were already making plans for the future despite leaving in separate parts on the country. She said: "We’re going strong. We have done since day one. We’ve already made plans. He's coming to see me in Swansea and I’m going to Newcastle. We’re already talking about holidays and Christmas plans. I definitely see a future."

When Adam was probed on whether he would be willing to move to Wales, he said: "I don’t know what the moving situation is – I think I need to pitch her Newcastle very, very well. I’m really excited to go and see her family. I’m just excited to go and do all the fun things with her. I want to go on dates.

"It’s weird, I feel like we’re dating but we’re so far past that. We have really got something good here. I just want to run with it to be honest. I see her in my future and I think she feels the same. We’re going to make it work."
