After eight weeks of romance and drama the winners of Love Island 2022 are about to be crowned in a nail-biting final - but the Islanders haven't stopped with their declarations of love just yet. In an emotional last episode the couples tell each other how they feel.

The tears flow on the ITV2 dating show as Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri, Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Luca Bish and Gemma Owen open open up about their journeys as they look to the future together.

The couples ramp up the glam in the Mallorca villa for their summer ball, and they are given a quick professional Salsa lesson. With the villa garden beautifully transformed, the Islanders arrive in their finery.

As they take their seats for the evening, it’s up to the couples to one by one read their declarations to each other and they express their true feelings. In a first look teaser shared by bosses, Gemma tells her man: "Luca from the minute you walked in straight away I knew you had something special about you." And Luca says: "I know I tell you every day how sexy you are but it's the little things that make me fall in love with you."

Tasha, who uses a cochlear implant after being born deaf, tells Andrew: "Thank you for accepting me for me and loving my superpower. I'm so mad about you." And Adrew says: "I really can't wait for the future for us. We have so mucy to look forward to and so many dreams to conquer."

Indiyah says: "I'm amazed and over the moon that I'm standing here having found my perfect partner who I adore." And Dami tells his girlfriend: "Sometimes you caught me staring at space and ask what's on my mind. But most times it's just me imagining glimpses of the future with you."

Ekin tells Davide: " I love everything about you. You're my soulmate." And Davide tells her: "There is a saying that when the right person crosses your path you feel it straight away and we felt that."

After Ekin Su and Davide's speech the pair seal their declaration by kissing passionately, to which Gemma observes: "Oh wow." And Luca remarks: "Oh." And some fans thought it might have been a 'dig.'

@starfir66 tweeted: "Gemma with the 'oh wow.'" @licav2021 asked: "Was it necessary though? she or Luca always have a little dig to make when there is never any need to."

@Iwonazarzycka1 said: "They always have something to say. They just cannot be happy for someone." And @sassyb2be said: "It’s how she has always been! She either says something shady or pulls a face!"

But @JHolley1974 explained: "I don’t think she meant it in a bad way. Ekinde just snog so passionately it’s a bit much for some to watch. Don’t judge either which way. All 4 couples seem genuinely happy. The real test comes when they leave and there are few and far between who actually go the distance!!"

Others are convinced that they are looking at the winners of the £50,000 prize. @RyanGSoapKing11 said: "Everyone else can go home!!!!! These are our winners."

@bellestoev tweeted: "OUR WINNERS SO TRUE." @xxma_16 agreed: "Never thought I'd be feeling this way about a couple rooting for them all the wayyyyy."

@itzpre_ told the show: "This right here is what love looks like. Happy married life Mr&Mrs Ekin su Saclimenti." @xemilyrodgersx pleaded: "THE WINNERS PLZZZZ."
