The sensational summer of love has drawn to a close with the winners of Love Island 2022 crowned in a flurry of excitement in Mallorca. Host Laura Whitmore declared that Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti had scooped the £50,000 prize after eight weeks of flirting and rows in the famous TV villa.
Italian business owner Davide, who lives in Manchester, and Turkish actress Ekin-Su got off to a rocky start in their relationship after she cheated on Davide with newcomer Jay Younger, sneaking off to the terrace to steal kisses with her new love interest. She was branded a 'liar' and an 'actress' in a foul-mouthed rant by Davide.
But the stunning couple re-coupled and rebuilt their relationship after a romantic date at a vineyard and they became firm favourites with many fans of the ITV2 dating contest. After reflecting on their journey together the pair were left gobsmacked by the news that they had won.
