ITV Love Island fans issue plea to bosses as they 'mute' their TV's after complaint minutes in

Love Island fans have been left issuing a plea to show bosses after they found themselves 'muting' their TV's during the latest episode. There wasn't much time for the dust to settle on Casey O'Gorman and Rosie Seabrook's surprise exit after they were dumped from the villa as the islanders were thrown into their next task.

During Wednesday night's episode (March 8) viewers saw - and heard - the return of the ITV2 dating show's baby challenge. It sees each of the reaming couples given their own doll and between them, they were tasked with keeping their child, which is wearing a monitor, happy for the day.

And the crying is very real. At the end of the tasks, the winners will be chosen by whose baby was the most content and soothed throughout the duration of the task. However, Love Island viewers may not last that long to see whose parenting skills came out on top as they issued a complaint and made a demand.

@_laurenken tweeted: "I HATE HATE HATE the baby challenge so much. I just can’t cope with the artificial crying. I might have to watch this ep on mute with subtitles #loveisland." @gossipboyy_ said: "I need to watch this episode on mute because these baby noises are making my ears bleed #loveisland."

@Rosavioletxx posted: "I hate the baby challenge want to turn off the tv already #loveisland." @conchitatianne fumed: "Sorry why do they think we wanna hear the baby crying it’s p*****g me off #LoveIsland." @Ronontwit added: "This baby episode on #loveisland is so tirrrred! Bore off. Movie Night 2 it should be!"

And fans know exactly what challenges they want instead. @ShellMalham tweeted: "Hated the annoying baby challenge for years. Wish they'd get rid & bring back the lie detector or tweets challenge #loveisland." @kaecartier_ said: "Can they just do lie detector test and then wrap this season up omg #loveisland." @rashfordswhore wrote: "Wish they’d give us the lie detector test or tweet challenge instead of this #loveisland."

@laurenofthesea shared: "Can’t believe they got rid of all the good challenges (lie detector, tweet challenge etc) and keep the baby challenge. #loveisland." @KayteeT1 posted: "Hate the Babies challenge, bring back the Lie Detector, the ratings would go through the roof. #loveisland." @__janiqx added: "We should have the lie detector and twitter challenge instead! #loveisland."

However, it didn have some reminiscing over one of Love Island's most famous couples. Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury took part in the challenge themselves before they made it to the final of the ITV2 dating show nearly four years ago. And back in January, the task became reality as they welcomed their first child, daughter Bambi, into the world.

@_Dionne97_ tweeted: "I remember Tommy & Molly Mae doing this challenge and now they have a real baby #loveisland." @d_loughins wrote: "The fact this is now real life Bambi now #loveisland," alongside a picture of Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 23, in the villa back in 2019 during the baby challenge.

But it wasn't just the baby challenge that got viewers fired up as they were quick to share a complaint just minutes into the episode. @Giesler1Rosie tweeted: "#loveisland Only 7 minutes that all we get before an ad break. F**k off stop conning us itv 2."

@ParisKeenan2 wrote: "A break after 7 mins! This is getting so dryyyyy #loveisland." @roisip said: "An ad break at 9:07. Jesus wept #loveisland." @1DMadeHistoryy asked: "How is it on a break already wtf it’s been 7 minutes #loveisland." @shivonnic added: "Can itv at least let us see 10 minutes before going on a break?? #loveisland."
