After being captivated by the Islanders' shenanigans for two months Love Island viewers were looking forward to catching up on the reunion show. But fans of the ITV2 dating contest took to Twitter to complain as they picked fault.
There were calls for changes to be made after viewers were left disappointed. Early into Sunday night's show they were cringing as hunky Jay Younger was asked by comedian Darren Harriott, a regular on the spin-off show Aftersun, to reveal his abs to the audience.
And he complied, lifting his T-shirt up to show off his sculpted torso. Twitter uses couldn't believe what they were seeing as @Itsharambanter asked: "Why is Jay showing his abs embarrassing." And @carolvnicholas said: "Jay showing his abs like a performing monkey."

@HerligggSunny asked: "Why would they do Jay like that?" And @bakedcotolette wanted to know: "Why do they want Jay to show his abs?"
But @tsehre approved: "Jay will always be the hottest guy this season."@AliceViews said: "Jay's abs never get old." And @loueeren said: "Jay is so fine. I’m not even embarrassed by that anymore."
Later professional dancer Danica Taylor, who found romance on the show with footballer Jamie Allen, was asked to bust some dance moves alongside Darren. And some fans found it unnecessary.
@pootlyy said: "They need to get Danica to stop dancing everywhere wth." @mattctrl asked: "How can Danica just burst out dancing and not look cringe?" And @larahopwood demanded: "Free Danica from this dancing."
Fans were also reeling as host Laura pressed finalists Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page on whether they had slept together after leavng the TV villa on Monday. Referring to the 'salon' the Islanders had used as a code word for intimate relations Tasha confirmed that 'the full set's been done.'
@Michael_4407 complained: "Laura asking the most awkward questions." @_SarahLucyx gasped: "This is horrific - we watch the reunions for drama and drama only." @simakins_1 said: "I don’t need to know about Tasha and Andrew’s sex life omg." And @heruLDN exclaimed: "Loool nah they made Tasha draw out all her business."
Viewers were also unimpressed with an interview with DJ Joel Corry who made an appearance in the episode when the Islanders visited a beach club. @tawanamichaella tweeted: "We want beef. We don't want to hear about Joel Corry's 5 minutes on the island."
@niamh99015568 said: "Joel Corey literally did a DJ set? He’s not going to cause any drama." And @underscored15 fumed: "WHY ARE WE GOING TO BE TALKING TO JOEL CORRY, HE DID NOTHING."
Instead of a studio format viewers were calling instead for the return of a reunion for the Islanders in a huge manor house, which was screened at Christmas 2018. @syderz_ asked: "What’s the Love Island reunion where they stay in a mansion and argue?? I wanna see that one."
@QuirklessBaddie said: "I want Love Island do that one where they had the reunion in a mansion where the islanders just see each other without having to do the interview aspect." And @ugcGigi_said: "There hasn’t been an entertaining reunion since Season 5’s one in the mansion."
@ZeyArkeoloji said: "I can't take these presenters or the Dj seriously, so cringe." And @RosePinkDreams asked: "Why is the reunion always so cringe?"
