Love Island's Gemma Owen is no stranger to the spotlight as the daughter of former Manchester United and Liverpool footballer Michael Owen. But despite fans of the ITV2 show knowing who Gemma's famous dad is, the international dressage rider seems to have kept the news pretty quiet amongst her fellow Islanders.
Apart from mentioning her dad in her introduction video, viewers have not yet heard or seen Gemma name-drop the football legend. This has left Love Island fans wondering whether or not the contestants know about the 19-year-old's famous connection.
But on Sunday night, ex-Islander Ikenna Ekwonna, who left the show last week after a shock double dumping alongside Amber Beckford, revealed that the stars were told she was the daughter of Michael Owen in unaired scenes just days after they moved in.
