Lorraine Kelly has already been posting pictures of her down time after being replaced on her self-titled ITV show. The popular Scottish presenter took to Instagram to wish followers a 'Happy weekend' sharing a video of her dogs enjoying a run.
Lorraine Kelly was replaced on her ITV show on Monday, as stand-in presenter Ranvir Singh took up the hot seat. As Ranvir gave a rundown of the upcoming programme during a segment on ITV's Good Morning Britain, the presenter also sparked some 'jealousy' from colleague Kate Garraway.
ITV viewers first became aware of Lorraine's absence near the end of Good Morning Britain, when Kate and co-host Richard Madeley crossed to the Lorraine studio to find out what was coming up. And as soon as Ranvir appeared on screen, Kate was quick to comment on her 'new look,.' which saw the TV anchor debut a fringe and wavy hair.
Swift to talk about her appearance, Kate remarked: "Can I just have brief moment to talk fringe? Umm I love it, I'm jealous of it, I want to know your hairdresser, and I want it for me."
Lorraine's current absence comes just weeks after she was forced to take a number off days off work, after being struck down by a nasty bug, according to Chronicle Live. Lorraine is now taking a break from her programme for Easter and the honour of deputising for her falls to Ranvir, who has filled in for her on a number of occasions.
However, Lorraine being missing from her own show again has prompted some sarcastic comments from some viewers online. One person taking to Twitter wrote: "Well colour me surprised! Just change the name of the bl**dy show at this point," with a second reacting: "OMFG! Turned on Lorraine for the first time in months and it’s RANVIR! AGAIN. I’m seething with rage"
Other viewers were delighted to see Ranvir at the helm, with one obvious fan of the stand-in host commenting: "Wow how beautiful does our lovely @ranvir01 look..her hair and makeup takes years off her ..I know she doesn't take compliments well but she should..#gmb love the dess too." Also glad to see Ranvir on screen, another posted: "Love @ranvir01 on @lorraine this morning."
