ITV Lorraine and GMB's Ranvir Singh opens up on boyfriend Louis Church as she addresses 18-year age gap

Ranvir Singh has spoken openly about her relationship with boyfriend Louis Church for the first time as she addressed their 18-year age gap. The Good Morning Britain star has been fiercely private about her romance - until now.

The 45-year-old started dating Louis Church, 27, in 2020, after she met him whilst she was taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. Things blossomed for the pair behind-the-scenes on the BBC One show as due to coronavirus restrictions on social contact during filming, production secretary Louis was one of the only people Ranvir was able to see, aside from her then dance partner, Giovanni Pernice.

At the time, rumours swirled that Ranvir was getting close to Italian dancer Giovanni. However, it was Louis who Ranvir's feelings were growing for and the pair developed a strong bond, with Louis even meeting Ranvir's ten-year-old son Tushaan. And the couple got people talking when they attended the races at Ascot earlier this year.

"Is there an age difference?" Ranvir jokingly asked in a new interview with The Sun. "We don’t ever joke about the age difference. Actually, age is no guarantee of someone being wonderful to you. There are complete g**s who are exactly the same age as you."

She described Louis as more "mature" than she was at his age, and she also said that a 50-year-old man could have "no idea about being a good partner". Ranvir said: "There are things that he is better at than I am in terms of just being a good human being. And I’m learning from him. So to me, it’s a complete joy.

But it's not just Louis she was quick to praise as she also spoke about the genuine 'love' between herself and her ITV co-stars on Good Morning Britain. "We’re living in such a peculiar little part of the world, which is breakfast telly. The only people you can turn to are the people who know exactly how this feels," Ranvir told the publication.

"The love is completely real – we adore each other, we care about one another. We text each other outside of work to check in. When Susanna was on holiday, she was texting me not even to talk about work stuff. She’d be asking: ‘How’s Tushaan?’

"He’s 10, so he’s been with me since I joined the show – we come together. I’ve got photos of Susanna with Tushaan when he was a toddler and pictures of Dr Hilary carrying him around with a little stethoscope. We are all close. I do genuinely like and admire everybody."
