Loose Women had the 'bleep' button at the ready as Joannie Taylor, aka Nan, appeared live on the show.
For those who don't know Joannie is one of Catherine Tate's most recognised characters from her original sketch comedy series The Catherine Tate Show.
The iconic, unfiltered, and quite sweary character is making a huge comeback as she's ditching the small screen for the cinemas inThe Nan Movie.
To promote her big-screen debut, Joannie appeared on Loose Women on Monday alongside Ruth Langsford, Linda Robson, Carol McGiffin, and Nadia Sawalha.
Things got off to an awkward start when 'Nan' kept repeating the names of panelists who weren't on the show that day. "I know the Loose Women but we want to talk to you now," Linda told her to no avail.
As they kept mentioning the risk of having her on thanks to her habit of turning the air blue, Catherine said as her character: "Oh darling, I have made a list of everything I am not allowed to say. 'Don't swear', they said, on live television. I have been warned not to swear.
"Not allowed," she said as beeps began to play out to cover-up multiple words. I can't say any of them. I am not allowed." She then added: "You are live on Channel 4 please do not swear. Davina McCall told me that."
Ruth then reassured: "We don't have to apologise because there is somebody literally sitting by the side of the stage with a beep today."
After swearing again, Nan said: "I wouldn't dream of it," before Linda attempted to ask her another question.
But some viewers found it a bit too much.
@Hotfuss73 tweeted: "Eek. Not sure Nan can extend to a whole film…. This interview is already cringe #LooseWomen."
"I'd have preferred to see a proper interview with Catherine Tate. #LooseWomen," @Mayce_Windu said.
@EdgarIrene replied: "Agreed - that was a train crash!! #LooseWomen #Nan."
"This is absolutely dreadful #loosewomen," @brackleian complained.
@leeleeCThomas added: "Not going to blame Nan for this segment that’s not quite working, I blame the panel who don’t know how to make this work better. It’s like they don’t know how to conduct the interview or what questions to ask. Nan is leading this #LooseWomen."
Others were happy to see Catherina back as her OAP alter ego.
"Just Love Nan!! #LooseWomen," @jayhwarne said.
@Leelamou echoed: "I love Nan #LooseWomen."
"I love Catherine Tate nan Catherine tate should bring back her show #loosewomen," @sarahksryder tweeted.
