ITV Loose Women taken off air and replaced on ITV schedule

For many people, Loose Women is essential lunchtime viewing. But fans tuning in to the ITV panel show on Tuesday (March 14) were disappointed after it was removed from the programme schedule.

Despite airing on Monday (March 13), Loose Women has been taken off air for the rest of the week. The show, which features four panellists discussing topical subjects and interviewing guests, is usually broadcast at 12.30pm from Monday to Friday.

But it has been replaced by ITV's coverage of the Cheltenham Races from today, reported the MEN. Good Morning Britain and This Morning will air as usual before ITV Lunchtime News is shown in the earlier slot of 12.30pm.

Coverage of the Cheltenham races then begins at 1pm until 4.30pm each day, hosted by Ed Chamberlin. However, Loose Women fans won't have to wait long for its return, as it is scheduled to be back on our screens in its usual timeslot next Monday (March 20).

The changes were flagged by Ruth Langsford at the end of Monday's show as she appeared alongside Katie Piper, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter on the panel. Ruth said: "We’ll be off for the rest of the week for the Cheltenham races, but we’ll see you next Monday."

Not all telly viewers were disappointed by today's change, however. On Twitter, @magsloveslife2 wrote: "Happy Cheltenham Festival day everyone. Good luck. But but but…..it’s an even more happy 'no #LooseWomen week'."

@Richard26Todd66 tweeted: "#loosewomen off air the rest of the week replaced by the old nags, who will notice the difference I wonder?" @I_knew_Bob added "Loose Women not on today" with a crying laughing emoji.

The temporary schedule for this week will be altered slightly on Wednesday (March 15), with races coverage to start at 2pm. This is to make way for an ITV News special on the Chancellor’s 2023 Budget from 12.15pm, which will also mean This Morning will finish 15 minutes earlier than usual.
