ITV Loose Women's Jane Moore 'halts' show as host Christine Lampard asks if she is OK

ITV's Loose Women is back in the news again after an onscreen discussion forced a brief halt to the show on Wednesday, April 5. Jane Moore's co-stars were reported to have become 'concerned' about the journalist looking like she was 'emotional' and in tears on camera.

It was the third episode of the week for the ITV daytime show and Jane was back on the panel along with host Christine Lampard and colleagues Coleen Nolan and Kelle Bryan. The first topic for discussion concerned royalty and news that the title Queen Consort would be dropped from Camilla's official title and she would become Queen on the occasion of King Charles III's coronation.

An image of the official Coronation invite appeared on screen, referring to Camilla as Queen. Giving her take on things, Jane, who has reported on the Royal Family for years, said: "I imagine all the secrecy (about the invitation) was that the word Consort has been dropped and that is part of a long plan."

Jane continued: "You know, Operation Camilla has been in play for quite a long time, ever since she got married to Charles. I think they've played a very long game, because obviously back in the early days, there was a lot issues about how people perceived her, because of all the Princess Diana stuff. They played the long game....she's a very warm, funny person in real life and I think they thought that if they just let it be for a while, people will warm to her."

She added: "I know a lot of people will think 'well we've only just lost The Queen,' but to me, that's THE Queen and Camilla will be Queen to the King."

Reporting on the show, Chronicle Live wrote that after Coleen had her say, remarking that she would probably still just 'say Camilla' and believed the nation was still very much in mourning for The Queen and the title, Jane was seen putting a tissue up to rub her eyes.

As Kelle also gave her opinion, Jane looked teary eyed as she wiped her eyes but then stopped proceedings to clarify: "Can I just say I'm not getting emotional about Queen Camilla...I've got hay fever! It's back with a vengeance!"

Jane's explanation prompted concern from Christine, who asked: "Are you OK? Do you need medication?" as Jane joked: "I'm very emotional!"
