ITV issued a warning to viewers about the potentially upsetting content of tonight's trip to Emmerdale as the first episode of the 50th anniversary drama kicks off.
Before the episode aired, the ITV announcer warned: "A special episode the celebrate 50 years of top class drama now on ITV with shocking and violent events and scenes of distress some viewers may find upsetting, it's Emmerdale."
We know there will be a huge storm seen hitting the village which will change the lives of many characters. We may even end up saying an emotional goodbye to some Emmerdale’s legends. As part of the stunt, viewers will also see a stampede of cows.
