ITV I'm A Celebrity winner Vicky Pattison shows off 'tummy rolls and cellulite' as she shares important message

Vicky Pattison has shared an empowering message in a body confidence post. The 35-year-old former Geordie Shore star took to Instagram to say "here is some of my reality" as she clapped back after realising there is "probably far too many carefully curated glam shots and fancy ads."

Urging her fans not to be "hung up" on the 'perfect' side of social media, she posted a selection of candid, make-up free snaps. The reality TV beauty, who was crowned winner of I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015, said: "I'd like to think I show both sides of the coin."

She wrote: "Social media can often be misleading. After nothing more than a quick scroll through Instagram it can convince you that everyone has the perfect body, no one ever takes a bad picture, everyone's skin is perfectly smooth and they all have their s*** together."

She continued: "I'd like to think I show both sides of the coin on my Instagram... but after a little flick through this morning I realised there were probably far too many carefully curated glam shots and fancy ads- so here is some of my reality- a reality that I am not only not ashamed of, but f***ing proud of."

Vicky stated proudly: "I am 35, I have wrinkles, cellulite, dimpled skin, tummy rolls, absolutely NO lips compared to everyone else on here it seems and double chins... I have good angles and bad, I have good days and bad... and none of this makes me any less of a good person or less deserving of self love."

She told her followers: "Don't get too hung up on the 'perfect' side of social media, don't let those images effect how you see yourself and your self worth- because behind every single one of those glam shots were a million more like this ... That society has tried to tell us are in some way less desirable but if you ask me, there's far more beauty to be found in the real, in the raw... So be kind to yourself today and everyday for that matter."

She added: "You are special, beautiful and deserving of love regardless of what clothes size you wear, whether your kitchen is tidy or whether your skin is perfectly smooth...Don't let Instagram and all of its bull**** convince you otherwise.. Don't let it change you- you're YOU... and that is your super power."

Her words were applauded by Married At First Sight UK star Adrian Sanderson who said: "You look f***ing fantastic mate." And pouchsisters said: "Love how real u r we need more Vicky’s in the world."

chloeoakes91 applauded: "Not all heroes wear capes." And labels_and_decor said: "I love this post. Thank you for showing what women actually look like."

Earlier this year Vicky told how her life has changed for the better now she's in her 30s. The star, who shot to fame starring in the raucous MTV show Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2014 followed by the dating show Ex on the Beach, turned 35 last week.

In a reflective Instagram post she told fans about life changing since she was in her 20s: "Bar hopping, transient friendships, disordered eating, crippling self doubt, bad boyfriends and even worse decisions have been replaced by early nights, self love, meaningful relationships, a healthy respect for myself and a real passion for what life is actually about."

Vicky, who is loved-up with her fiance Ercan Ramadan, wrote thoughtfully: "Do I miss my 20's?! In a word.. No. Don't get me wrong, there are some things associated with that time in my life that I wouldn't mind still having...collagen in my face for example? Or a fast metabolism? Or the ability to have more than one drink without it taking a week to recover.

"But across the board the joys and self discoveries that have come with being in my 30's have been infinitely better than anything I experienced in my 20's." She added: "I mean honestly I think my biggest fear back then was that I wouldn't know every doorman in town by name or that I couldn't go out four times a week with at least 10 pals.

"Now I know my Amazon delivery drivers name and if I want to see my mates we have to make plans at least three months in advance." Vicky signed off by saying: "So instead of worrying about getting older- be proud of the person you're becoming, grateful for the lessons you've learned and hopeful that the future will being you more love, light and blessings."
