ITV I'm A Celebrity viewers make U-turn on campmate as they predict first star to be evicted

ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here is nearing its third week running, which means the first eviction is in plain sight. During Thursday night's show, hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed that the first celebrity campmate of 2022 will be leaving the jungle on Friday (November 18) after a public vote.

Closing the show on Thursday, Dec told viewers: "The big news is that tomorrow night one of them will be heading for home. So for the first time this series you're voting to keep your favourites in the camp. The person with the fewest votes will leave tomorrow - and that vote is now open."

Viewers of the ITV show, which started earlier this year because of the Qatar World Cup, have now been making their predictions as to who they think will be the first star to leave the jungle in tonight's hour and a half episode.

The vote comes after Thursday night's show saw the campmates battle it out to win three seats on a plane where they'd be flown to a beach to enjoy a surf 'n' turf barbecue.

On Wednesday night's edition of the ITV show, Ant and Dec revealed a huge twist which meant that the usual daily trial wouldn't go ahead as planned.

Instead, each of the celebrities would be facing challenges over 24 hours where they aimed to collect as many balls as they could to win a spot at the beach.

After a lack of food due to Radio DJ Chris Moyles winning just one star, each of the celebrities were desperate to earn a place on the plane.

On Thursday night it was left in the hands of Hollyoaks' Owen Warner, Lioness Jill Scott and former rugby player and royal Mike Tindall who took on a trial to win balls for the camp.

Each ball was a different colour which represented a different campmate, and the more balls of the same colour meant the more chance that celebrity had of getting picked for the ultimate prize.

The Scare ground and tombola challenge saw Jill decide to go in the Unlucky Dip, while Mike Tindall took part in the Critter Carousel leaving Owen Warner in the Fiendish Ferris Wheel.

Dec explained to the campmates: “Three of you have to take part in this trial to try and win some more coloured balls. At the end of the trial all of the balls won will be added to our lovely Tombola over here.

"Ant and I will then draw three of the coloured balls at random and those three people will be whisked away by chopper to the beach for a sumptuous surf and turf barbie. How does that sound?."

The results of the trial saw Jill Scott, Matt Hancock and Sue Cleaver win the luxurious meal on the beach. The MP tucked into the lavish cuisine alongside his campmates unaware that the first eviction was looming.

But despite the controversy and Ofcom complaints that have been sparked after Matt's appearance in the jungle, it seems as though some viewers have now had a change of heart.

Many fans of the show are now saying that they'd like Matt to be saved in the public vote, and instead think Charlene White should be voted out of the jungle.

It comes as Charlene has been refusing to sleep in the RV but isn't being clear why.

@lauragoodshipxo took to Twitter to say: "So my opinion on Thursday's I'm a Celeb.. Boy George, Chris Moyles and Charlene White all need to be voted out ASAP. Unpopular opinion but I'm absolutely loving Matt Hancock."

@shabina8 wrote: "Charlene should leave the camp. She is selfish full of herself, very unpopular."

@casperthegh0st agreed: "Charlene or Sue to go first. Jill/Mike or Matt to win."

@CrucioKat added: "I hate matt hancock, as a person, with a passion but he’s actually enjoyable to watch. unlike george, charlene and sue."

@BeingSpoken said: "Just gotta vote for Matt! Because I want him to stay, great entertainment."
