Helen Flanagan left some viewers baffled during her latest appearance on I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. The former Coronation Street actress is among the several famous faces from the ITV reality show's 20 year history who have decided to give it another go.
Joining Helen in the first-ever spin-off series, which is still fronted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, is boxing champion Amir Khan; Diversity dancer and DJ Jordan Banjo; TV presenter Carol Vorderman; Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread; Happy Monday's star Shaun Ryder; former royal butler Paul Burrell; ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell and supermodel Janice Dickinson.
During Tuesday night's episode (April 25), Shaun and Gillian, who frequently argued when they competed on their original I'm A Celebrity appearance back in 2010, were forced to team up again for the series’ first "Chest Challenge".

But despite campmates speculating over the outbreak of "World War Three", both TV personality Gillian and singer Shaun appeared to get on very well – laughing and joking with each other throughout.
The second episode of the series also saw Geordie presenting duo Ant and Dec announce Jordan and Janice as the two campmates taking part in the first eating trial of the series. Upon hearing the news, Janice declared: "Why did you choose me when you knew I couldn’t do it the last time? “I’m no longer in love with you, Ant. I’m seriously in shock."
The pair went on to face 10 "genitalia-heavy" dishes or varying degrees of repulsiveness but earned several stars for their campmates. Later, the campmates were seen tucking into their meal in the new setting of Kruger National Park. But I'm A Celeb viewers were confused and commented on social media when Helen, 32, opted to eat just the vegetables delivered to the camp.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Why isn’t Helen eating the meat? Is she vegetarian?" Another questioned: "Is Helen vegetarian? She's not eating meat." But the former soap star, who is famed for playing Rosie Webster in ITV's Corrie, previously told fans she's gone veggie after struggling with meat during her three pregnancies with children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and two-year-old Charlie.
She said at the time: "Started to eat sausages (vegetarian I can't deal with meat - I had hyperemesis with each baby and I went off meat so much never really liked it before)."
It comes after Helen appeared to defend herself against some criticism following her opening trial. It saw Helen leap across giant balls suspended in the air as part of the Newton's Cradle challenge to grab a star. After letting campmates Phil Tufnell and Fatima Whitbread go first, she took a breath and gave the trial her best shot, despite not reaching the star at the end.
Taking to Instagram on the night, Helen shared a clip of her watching the trial alongside her daughter Matilda, seven and said: "Mummy was so scared. I did it because I didn't want you to say, 'Oh mummy didn't do it.'
"But honestly darling I was absolutely scared – I didn't faint but I did it because I knew Matilda would want to watch me do this. I did it but I really didn't want to." The Bury-born star also captioned the clip: "I absolutely hate heights."
