ITV I'm A Celebrity under fire over 'evil' treatment as Helen Flanagan in tears

I'm A Celebrity was under fire as fans blasted "evil" treatment in tonight's show.

Viewers were thrilled as Ant and Dec returned to host another edition of the spin off. Friday's episode continued to explore the battle between the yellow and green teams after the South African camp waa split in two.

The teams were competing to win a luxury picnic and the yellow team came out as winners once again. However, there was a twist in tonight's show as a member of the winning team was treated to more than just a selection of delicious items.

Team leader, Dean Gaffney, was forced to pick which member of the camp would be able to have a phone call with their family. The former EastEnders actor decided to give Helen Flanagan the opportunity to phone home as she is the mum of three young children.

Helen was emotional after she had a phone call with her kids, Matilda Delilah and Charlie. However, viewers following the show on Twitter were baffled as to why they only let the former Coronation Street star speak to her family for a maximum of 90 seconds.

Will said: "Only giving Helen 90 seconds to talk to her kids is evil"

Laura added: "90 seconds is way too short, coulda gave her 5 minutes"

Other fans following the show said were emotional after the adorable conversation.

@Twellywatcher said: "Helen’s conversation with her kids was lovely"

Kerry added: "Helen's phone call with her kids was so sweet. She deserved that she's doing so well compared to the first time she went on the show"
