ITV I'm a Celebrity's Matt Hancock speaks out on endless trials

Matt Hancock faced yet another Bushtucker trial on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here tonight.

The former Health Secretary faced Deserted Down Under, where he had to lie in an underground pit. Goggles covered his eyes as he had 11 minutes to unlock 11 stars from 'hell holes'.

He was faced with bugs, critters and his worst nightmare - snakes.

But before beginning the challenge, hosts Ant and Dec had a burning question for him. Ant asked: "So, you’re here again. Why do the public keep voting for you?"

Matt replied: "I don't know. But it's become part of my morning routine, you know, get up, brush your teeth, do a trial, go back for lunch."

He added: "There’s nothing I can do about it, I just throw myself at the trial.” Ant asked: “Have other people in camp said to you, ‘I want to do a trial’?” Matt said: “Nobody’s said that, but you can sense it.”

Matt was terrified during the trial and began to doubt himself. After four minutes, he said: "Something is going up my leg... I can't get this done."

At one point the lights went out and Matt was left to complete the rest of the challenge in the dark. But, at the end of the trial it was confirmed Matt had won seven out of a possible 11 stars.
