It's less than one week to go until the new series of I'm a Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here! gets underway and it's already hitting the headlines after the line-up was confirmed. Now it can be revealed that reports suggested Boy George will be the highest-paid campmate ever to appear in the I'm A Celebrity jungle are in fact thought to be true as the popular music star has reportedly secured a £500,000 appearance fee.
The Mirror states that reports over the last few months about the Karma Chameleon star earning the highest pay ever have been reportedly confirmed. Telly insiders said the bumper pay packet tempted him Down Under – and put him ahead of US reality star Caitlyn Jenner, 73, as top earner in the show’s 20-year history.
George touched down in Brisbane on Saturday (October 29) wearing a lion mask as the ITV show returned to Australia after two years in Wales.
The Culture Club singer’s arrival completed the 10-strong line-up for the new series that begins next Sunday night. He was pictured wearing a giant lion mask as he arrived for this year's filming of ITV's I'm a Celebrity .... Get Me Out of Here! The 80s international music star arrived down in Australia on Saturday, October 29.
The singer 61, whose full name is George Alan O’Dowd, was pictured at Brisbane Airport on Saturday morning, joking: "I'm here to a version of The Lion queen, I don't know what you are talking about darling!" He was then asked if the hot looking costume would be worn for the duration of his time in the jungle, to which he replied: "Lets hope so."
