ITV I'm A Celebrity in schedule shake-up just days after launch ahead of new arrival Matt Hancock

We're only a matter of days into the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here but there's already going to be a change that may disgruntle viewers. The ITV reality show fronted by Ant and Dec made a grand return on Sunday night (November 6) with more than nine million people tuning in to the launch.

Viewers were keen to see the likes of former Love Island star Olivia Attwood, radio DJ Chris Moyles, Loose Women's Charlene White, singer Boy George, ex-rugby star Mike Tindall, and Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver meet for the first time and face their first challenges before officially heading into the jungle.

And in the second episode of the show's 2022 series, fans watched as the ten celebrities getting used to their new surroundings. But there was already a bit of drama earlier in the day when it was revealed that Olivia had been forced to withdraw from the show. TV said the 31-year-old former reality show contestant has been told by the programme's medical team it is not safe for her to return to camp, meaning she is the first contestant to leave the show this year.

Announcing Olivia's departure earlier on Monday, a spokesman for ITV said: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks. Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be a further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show."

However, viewers still saw Olivia taking part in the first Bushtucker challenge which saw her inserting her hand into small wall openings alongside Scarlette filled with worms in a bid to unscrew pipe fittings and stop the flow of water into chambers holding Boy George and Chris. They were placed into the "torpedo tubes" and made to collect stars dropped into the containers.

Since its return, I'm A Celeb has been airing at its usual time of 9pm. However, on Tuesday night (November 8), viewers will need to wait slightly longer to get their jungle fix. This evening the episode will kick off at 9:15pm - 15 minutes later than usual. That's because Martin Lewis' Money Show will run from 8 until 9.15pm.

It comes amid reports that I'm A Celeb's latecomers will arrive EARLY into camp. Matt Hancock is expected to make his way into camp today following the shock exit of Love Island's Olivia Attwood. The 44-year-old MP's addition to the line-up was revealed last week and Matt, who has been suspended by the Tory party in the wake of his controversial signing being revealed, said he was taking part so he can "go to where the people are — not to sit in ivory towers in Westminster."

While not confirmed, he is expected to make his jungle debut alongside with comedian Seann Walsh. During Monday's episode of Good Morning Britain, Radio 1 DJ and the news programme's stand-in entertainment reporter Vick Hope confirmed when Matt will be making his first appearance.

"He's set to enter camp on Wednesday," Vick said. However, the latest reports could mean that he'll enter today but I'm A Celeb viewers won't get to see the entrance until Wednesday evening (November 9).
