ITV I'm A Celebrity host Ant McPartlin yells in stunned Dec Donnelly's face in disagreement over 'great' suggestion

Dec Donnelly looked surprised by his co-star Ant McPartlin's latest comical outburst. The presenters were once again back at the helm of the latest jungle action on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here on Friday night (November 18) and viewers watched as they headed into camp for the first elimination of the 2022 series.

But before that, it was another jam-paced show with Charlene White, who later became the first to leave camp following a public vote, took on the latest Bushtucker trial with Boy George. Watery Grave saw the Loose Women star and Culture Club singer having to go in two separate tombs and pass over stars to each other with magnets.

Water spiders, eels and mud crabs were added to their tombs as the water began to rise. But while George tried to encourage his campmate, Charlene said: “I don’t think I can do this. I’ve just come out of the water as I can’t get in with the eels." And she then muttered those infamous words: "I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! I was trying, I can’t."

When the pair returned to camp, everyone showed their support for an emotional and disappointed Charlene a hug. A short while later, Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver gave the ITV News broadcaster a hug as she cried and questioned her place in the camp.

In a slightly more awkward moment, George has told Matt Hancock on that he has been "hating on" him after the former health secretary walked in on a conversation between the 80s music star and comedian Seann Walsh. But George did apologise to the MP for his behaviour to him and said he found it difficult to "separate" the politician from the person.

Meanwhile, the camp also elected a new leader and voted for former rugby player Mike Tindall, who made Sue his deputy. That was when former rugby star Mike was then given a card to read which said: "Celebrities, tonight is your last night together. Tomorrow one of you will be the first to leave the jungle."

Ant and Dec then entered camp to reveal that Charlene had received the fewest votes after fans of the show were asked to vote to save their favourites. She was left until the end with Sue who Charlene later names during her exit chat as one of the campmates she'd be happy to see win.

And as they have done every night of the series so far, Ant and Dec took to social media with their show debrief. Hitting their Instagram Live, the pair commented on Matt and Boy George's conversation as they gave their daily debrief on the show.

"It was that awkward moment when you're talking about somebody and that person shows up," Ant said. "Awkward!" Later, when chatting to radio star Nick Grimshaw, who said he had 'respect' for George owning up to Matt over what he said despite finding the scenes horrible, Dec replied: "Fair play to him because a lot of people would have just said, 'Oh we were just talking about something else...'"

After chatting with former Radio 1 star Nick, Ant ended up being riled but fans watching them live on their Instagram page - and not for the first time this week as fans make suggestions for future series line-ups.

And some of the outlandish requests got to Ant and he didn't hold back. "Hold on... Taylor Swift... next year," Ant said picking up on one of the comments made during their live appearance on the social media platform. As Dec laughed in the background, Ant stood in front of the camera and fumed: "Right, seriously. It's getting beyond a joke now because you're an idiot for saying that."

As he went to return to his spot behind Dec, his co-star said: "Just stay there, someone's said Ed Sheeran." Kicking off again, Ant raged: "Right, you're a bigger idiot because he's never going to do it. Taylor Swift's not going to do it, Ed Sheeran's not going to do it... Peter Kay is NOT going to do it. He's just announced a tour, you idiot!"

And the mere mention of Beyonce had Ant pushing his co-host out of the way and calling out the name of the fan live. But not it seems fans may be doing it on purpose as during their latest video on Friday night, Ant raged as Harry Styles' name was mentioned. "Right, seriously," Ant began before getting up close into the camera. "He's having the career of his life, man! Of his life! He's just played Wembley Stadium. He's not going to go in there and eat testicles," he added as Dec laughed.

"He's getting really irate now," Dec said as Ant became frustrated at the suggestion of King Charles heading into the jungle while also being bothered by a flying insect. "I'm getting annoyed at them, I'm getting annoyed at the fly..." Ant admitted before spotting Simon Cowell's name mentioned.

"Simon Cowell does not need to come on I'm A Celebrity," Ant said before Dec replied; "He might want to.." Ant swung his head round to look at his co-star. "Can you imagine Simon Cowell in there?" he asked to which Dec replied: "I know, it'd be great wouldn't it?"

But Ant disagreed: "No, it wouldn't be great. He then got up in Dec's space who pulled a faux face of shock. "You... You can shut up as well," Ant said before Dec giggled and moved on to wrapping up their latest video. But he wanted to wind up his co-star once more by mentioning a fan's suggestion to have Ariana Grande in the jungle. We suspect this may be a running theme throughout the rest of the series which is expected to end on Sunday, November 27...
