I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here fans have been making a plea to their fellow viewers over Mike Tindall after spotting him 'looking sad' and 'gutted' in the jungle. The former rugby star was among the initial ten stars who headed into camp following the ITV reality show's launch on Sunday.
He joined the likes of Boy George, Loose Women's Charlene White, Lionesses Jill Scott, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver. They have since been joined by two additional campmates, Seann Walsh and Matt Hancock with the latter instantly ruffling feathers.
And while Mike appeared a favourite to win right at the start, the 44-year-old hasn't been as prominent on-screen as viewers would like which has led to them making a demand to others.
@urszulabilecka tweeted: "Stop voting for Matt Hancock and giving him airtime. It feels like it is Matt show. What about lovely Mike Tindall? We hardly see him #ImACeleb." @asterinbryce wrote: "I need people to start voting for Mike and Owen to do trials please #ImACeleb." @veritycollyer shared: "Everyone needs to vote for Mike to do a challenge, you can see he really wants to it makes me sad :( #ImACeleb."
@Just_Alyce echoed: "#ImACeleb can we like.. vote for Mike at least once because he looks bored that he’s not being chosen for trials." @MissKG86 noted: "Mike looks absolutely gutted every time he’s told it’s not him for the trial!! #ImACeleb." @mixersFLO posted: "We HAVE to let Mike do a trial he really wants to do one #ImACeleb." @VickstaSmith added: "Poor Mike is DYING to do a trial! #ImACeleb."
Meanwhile, some have been left questioning Mike as he told of wife Zara Phillips' dramatic birth story. He shared how Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne and the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, gave birth on the bathroom floor as she was not going to make it to the hospital.
The couple had their child Lucas Philip Tindall at her mother Princess Anne’s estate, Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire. The birth in March 2021 was thought to be the first royal baby to be born at home for nearly 60 years.
Speaking during scenes aired from the Australian jungle on Thursday night's I'm A Celeb, Mike shared how the arrival of his third child, Lucas, a member of the royal family but not referred to as His Royal Highness, "was rapid".
He added: "As we got our stuff to go to hospital, she got out of the bath, she could barely stand, she was shaking. The midwife was like ‘she’s not making the hospital’. She was like ‘you don’t want to be delivering in the car’. [I went] into the gym [and got] two gym mats [to put] down in the bathroom."
He also spoke about his wife’s labour pains, saying: "[Zara] was, it was fast though, from that moment. She almost choked me to death. You can’t say anything can you? 'Can you let go, you’re really hurting me?'"
But some I'm A Celeb viewers questioned how the royal family would feel about him sharing personal stories. @AndyGibsonTV tweeted: "Is Mike Tindall allowed to speak about how a member of the British Royal Family gave birth like this? #ImACeleb." @stoneroller9 wrote: "#ImACeleb Mike should not share any more personal information with the campmates and they should not pump him for info. The others should now share information about their partners and children. Fairs, fair."
