ITV I'm A Celebrity fans divided over line-up and Boy George's customised jungle outfit

Fans of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here have been sharing their opinions on the line up for this year's series. Many of the stars were spotted arriving at Brisbane Airport last week for the ITV show, but the latest string of campmates have officially been revealed.

This year's celebrities include Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, reality TV star Olivia Attwood, radio DJ Chris Moyles, rugby star and royal Mike Tindall, and Loose Women star Charlene White. These celebs and many others will be swapping their everyday lives for life in the jungle, which as loyal viewers know is always full of surprises and creepy crawlies.

The new season will premiere on Sunday, November 6, at 9pm, with a special 105-minute episode to kick things off. Some fans have already noticed that the start date is slightly earlier than usual to avoid a clash with the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Qatar on Sunday, November 20 reports The Manchester Evening News.

Also making up this year's batch of campmates are Boy George, Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner, TV presenter and property expert Scarlette Douglas, former footballer Jill Scott and comedian Babatunde Aleshe. However, many fans took to social media to share their disappointment over the line up. @mred.37 said: "Another year, and another roster where I only know one person."

@l_morrisxx commented: "I literally know one person." @lewis._.clarkson shared: "No idea who any are." @mistermax04 cried: "Never heard of any."

@isobelgibson08 fumed: "Sadly I do not think I will be watching this year. I am sorry but I would have thought with it being the 20th anniversary and the first time in 2 years that you are allowed to go to Australia that you would have made a bit more effort than that.

"It looks thrown together. Never mind I guess, maybe next year."

Cheryl Louise Alexander joked on Facebook: "I need to come out from under my rock as I have no idea who any of these are." However, many loyal viewers didn't mind and say they are excited for the shows return.

Loyal viewer, @ruebrownn said: "Do I recognise any of them? No. Am I still going to watch every night? Absolutely."

@zoominmumina argued: "For those that are saying they only know one person, clearly aren’t that clued up with TV, Radio, Sport etc. maybe you should take more of an interest rather than just watch I’m a celebrity once a year and moan about not knowing anyone."

Anj Horne added: "Haven't heard of half of them to be honest but hey, let them get stuck in and we'll no doubt know them better very soon."

There were also plenty of people happy with the line-up. @matt.bawlerr commented: "Not a bad lineup tbf…" @andy_weemanc said: "Boy George get in there , not a bad line up this year."

Katie Ruth Cornwell said on Facebook: "Cannot wait it's going to be pretty good I think. Only 2 people this year I've never heard of before so it's looking good.

"Think boy George and Chris moyles are going to be funny to watch. Bring it on."

Melissa Louise Minister echoed: "Good line up this year! Chris moyles and boy George are going to be class!" Hayley Edwards wrote: Excited!!!! Love Babutunde, Chris Moyles and the lovely Boy George!! This is gonna be a goodun peoples!!"

Fans have also noticed that Boy George had a different look to the other campmates in the official photos for the season, showing the contestants in khaki green shirts and shorts or red trousers with matching hats, and walking boots. The Culture Club star was seen grinning in his customised shirt.

@maxbiddle98 tweeted: "They had to let @BoyGeorge customise his jacket. Of course, he’s a legend." @ESCMarkk joked: "The way Boy George only agreed to do #ImACeleb if he could customise his jungle outfit."

But @ESC_ODHRAN cried: "Why does Boy George look like he is wearing a clown outfit." There isn't much behind Boy George having a different outfit to his fellow celebrities, with the only difference appearing to be that he asked.

A show source told Metro that Boy George, whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd, enquired as to whether he could customise the garment for the promotional shoot, and to that ITV said yes.
