ITV I'm A Celebrity fans blast 'short memories' as they pick up on Seann Walsh remark

Fans have blasted some of the campmates' 'short memories' following a remark from Seann Walsh during the latest episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. During Thursday night's trip Down Under for the latest jungle action, viewers saw the celebs continuing to try and win a place on the beach.

Only three of the 11 campmates were guaranteed a spot on a helicopter out of camp where they landed on the beach to enjoy a slap-up surf and turf BBQ. And after already taking on a few challenges, which saw them having to collect balls instead of stars, it was over to Jill Scott, Mike Tindall and Owen Warner to face the second part of the trial.

The trio were strapped into spinning devices as they attempted to work together, with former England star Jill starting by releasing colourful balls from a tombola-shaped cage full of insects. Each coloured ball represented one of the campmates and the more they got, the higher chance they'd be heading to the beach.

Meanwhile, on the Critter Carousel, ex-rugby star Mike collected the balls and threw them at Hollyoaks actor Owen, who was being repeatedly turned upside down over a trough of water. But as the trial ended Lioness Jill needed the help of a medic to remove a cockroach stuck in her ear.

It comes 11 years after Olympic gold medallist Fatima Whitbread famously got a cockroach stuck up her nose after enduring a time-trial wearing a plastic helmet full of critters on the ITV reality show. Host Ant McPartlin joked: "Jill, that was bigger than the one Fatima Whitbread had up her nose!"

And it was soon revealed that Jill, former health secretary Matt Hancock, and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver had bagged the luxurious prize while three more campmates were chosen to take on the next trial to win meals for themselves and their fellow remaining campmates.

But at one point in the episode, comedian Seann quipped that Matt had been having a 'holiday' in the Australian jungle after also being made camp leader last week, which means he gets his own comfy chair and a good night's sleep in a proper bed in the camp's sheltered RV.

And while Seann claimed that the MP is "having a holiday in here," Boy George replied: "I'll just stop you right there, but he still has to be Matt Hancock." Owen also said he was gutted not to win a place at the BBQ and wasn't happy that Matt had after only being here "five minutes".

But I'm A Celeb viewers wasted no time in calling the campmates out as they seemingly forgot that Matt had to face six consecutive trials after arriving into the camp as a latecomer alongside Seann. @thorney6970 said: "I didn't like Sean's comment... 'Matt's here on holiday. Sleeping in the RV & going to a BBG!!!' Short memory. All the trials he's done."

@FfionWeston21 tweeted: "'Matt is having an absolute holiday' How many trials have you done again Seann? #ImACeleb." @MarlaStromberg said: "I’m sorry Seann…Matt is having a holiday??? He’s done so many trials and won food for all of you! Give him a break! #ImACeleb." @scottslionesses added: "Matt is having a holiday' ?? I can’t stand the man but he’s done more than seann and sue have when it comes to getting stars for the camp #imaceleb."
