I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here's reigning champ Danny Miller has been issued an apology after he appeared to call out the show for what fans think is an 'early' move. Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were back on-screen on the ITV reality show on Thursday night (November 10) with more news and gags as they brought viewers the latest jungle action.
The episode saw camp newcomer Matt Hancock take on his second bushtrucker trial in just 24 hours after he was voted Tentacles of Terror, just 24 hours into his controversial appearance in camp. It saw the West Suffolk MP, who has been suspended from the Tory party, trapped inside an octopus-shaped cage full of underwater critters during the latest episode.
Ant and Dec made political jokes as Matt, 44, had to put his hand in a cage as snakes, eels and a small crocodile was seen getting close to the former health secretary as he fished for stars. The MP was tasked with collecting the 11 numbered stars in order as the structure was lowered into the water, which he managed to do so and won full rations for the camp.
But his success didn't stop the public voting for him again as at the end of the episode, Ant and Dec revealed the former health secretary and singer-songwriter Boy George, 61, will take on the first eating challenge of this series, set to air during Friday night's episode (November 11). The Geordie duo said both would be eating at La Cucaracha Cafe, which means the Cockroach cafe in Spanish.
Also in the latest installment of the ITV reality show, viewers saw Matt and fellow latecomer Seann Walsh continue their 'undercover mole' duties which they were first tasked with during their first appearance in a separate camp - dubbed Mole HQ.
Their latest challenges saw the pair having to enlist Scarlette Douglas and Jill Scott who had to do their own secret tasks in order to win the rest of the campmates' luxury items.
Later, viewers got to see the stars receiving their array of items, with comedian Seann opting for a foldable chair, Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatund Aleshe receiving his choice of a disposable camera and Owen Warner, who asked for a mug with a photo of him and his grandparents.
But in a post made by the official I'm A Celebrity Instagram page, which saw some of the campmates with their luxury items, Danny, who was crowned King of the Castle during last year's second run of the show in Wales, was quick to respond.
"Already?!!!" he asked with a string of crying laughing emojis, clearly hinting at how they had to wait long for theirs. And diver Matty Lee, who also starred in the 2021 series, backed the Emmerdale actor up by saying: "My thoughts exactly."
The official I'm A Celeb account then replied to Danny's original message: "Sorry," alongside a grinning face with sweat emoji. But it wasn't just the former campmates who noticed.
@illicitgeorge tweeted: "It’s a bit too early for luxury items no? #ImACeleb." @MariaGalea commented: "No offence to the campmates but isn’t it slightly too early for luxury items? #ImACeleb." @allantanddec echoed: "It’s a bit early for luxury items isn’t it? They haven’t been in there that long #ImACeleb."
@grace_is_sugoi shared: "Every year they bring the luxury items in too early imo #ImACeleb." @AnnielizzieSten posted: "They’ve had their luxury items far too early. They’ve only been in there 4 days. It’s all getting too chummy #ImACeleb." @jlb26_ added: "It’s not even been a week it’s so early for luxury items man ffs give it 10 days at least #ImACeleb."
