ITV I'm a Celebrity 2022 star Boy George arrives in Australia wearing giant lion mask

Boy George was pictured wearing a giant lion mask as he arrived for this year's filming of ITV's I'm a Celebrity .... Get Me Out of Here! The 80s international music star arrived down in Australia on Saturday, October 29 and is reportedly becoming the highest-paid star ever to appear on the show.

The music icon, 61, was pictured at Brisbane Airport on Saturday morning wearing a lion mask, joking: "I'm here to a version of The Lion queen, I don't know what you are talking about darling!" He was then asked if the hot looking costume would be worn for the duration of his time in the jungle, to which he replied: "Lets hope so."

As he left the airport, he was asked what particular requests he had made, as he now has to isolate for a week," The Mirror reports.

He said: "Lots of green juices", but declined to comment on his veganism and what that might mean for trials. He replied with: "I am a lion queen."

The former Culture Club singer has completed the star-studded line-up which also features Loose Women's Charlene White, A Place In The Sun's Scarlette Douglas, Lioness Jill Scott, Corrie's Sue Cleaver, Radio X DJ Chris Moyles, Love Island star Olivia Attwood, Hollyoaks' Owen Warner and comedian Babatunde Aleshe.

Seann Walsh is also rumoured to be also starring in this year's series and could arrive as a late edition to the show.

One of the biggest shock names from this year's line-up, however, is Mike Tindall, who is making history as the ITV show's very first Royal Family member.

Mike, 44, landed Down Under in the early hours of Friday morning and seemed excited for swapping royal life in favour of slumming it in the jungle as he told reporters: "It should be good fun, why not? It is always worth a go isn't it."

The rugby pundit, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall, was told it was the first big reality series a royal had done since It's A Knockout, prompting him to add: "No one said that when I did Bear Grylls and The Jump and I just do things I think will be fun."

Meanwhile Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner said that he was hoping to find love on the show.

The 23-year-old soap star - who has played Romeo Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap since 2018 - said: "My mum is the one who is going to be the one missing me. I am single and ready for the jungle. I am always looking for romance but I am not going in especially for that."
