ITV I'm A Celeb fans in hysterics as Ant and Dec make cheeky swipe at Prime Minister after Matt Hancock arrives in jungle

Ant and Dec made a cheeky swipe at Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The comedic duo jokingly addressed Mr Sunak after former health secretary Matt Hancock officially entered the jungle.

Viewers were loving the dig on Twitter, which followed after Mr Hancock made his much anticipated entrance. The MP for West Suffolk had penned a letter to constituents who had complained about his reality TV stint.

Making their dig on Wednesday's episode, Ant said: "I'm not sure how Matt is going to cope in camp though.

"You know, surrounded by people who don't know what they're doing, making it up as they go along and just trying to get by day to day..."

To which Declan Donnelly jokingly added: "Evening, Prime Minister." The jibe comes after the presenting duo also poked fun at former prime minister Boris Johnson during last year's series.

Dec went on to make fun of the Conservative Party's recent leadership changes, adding: "By the way, who am I talking to there? Who is it this week? Is it still Rishi? Is it still him?"

To which Ant replied: "I think so, but they're probably due a new one before Christmas!"

Fans were loving the jibe, as @AnneHewson tweeted: "I’ve been waiting for Dec to say “evening Prime Minister” so funny Ant saying who is it this week @RishiSunak".

As @edwards_kirsty shared: "Omg I'm buckled @antanddec is the PM still Rishi? Yeah but we'll have a new one by Christmas."

And @jlb26_ posted: " “is it still rishi?” “i think so, they’re probably due a new one by christmas” ant and dec are absolute class at this kind of humorous political commentary."

The presenting duo also poked fun at Westminster ahead of Matt Hancock’s arrival in the Australian jungle, where they enacted a mock news briefing. Comedian Seann Walsh and Mr Hancock have joined the hit ITV reality show as late arrivals and were shown meeting their fellow celebrity campmates.
