Paul O'Grady has sparked a number of schedule changes from ITV, who have lined up a number of programmes to honour the late star, after his death at the age of 67.
On Wednesday morning, Brits woke up to the devastating news that the legendary entertainer, famous for giving the world Lily Savage had passed away on Tuesday evening, with husband Andre Portasio releasing a statement which said "It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening. We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss.
“He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion. I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years.”

As the world reacted to Paul's death and tributes paid in from fellow celebs and fans alike, his amazing career was at the forefront of ITV shows Good Morning Britain, This Morning and Loose Women. And it was during the latter two that hosts Holly Willoughby and Christine Lampard first announc3ed that changes had been made by ITV to remember aul.
Both presenters confirmed that the Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs: A Royal Special would be airing on Wednesday evening at 5pm, in place of The Chase.
And, after that an ITV spokesperson outlined further schedule alterations in honour of Paul. On Sunday, April 9 there will be a special programme For the Love of Paul O'Grady before the new series of For The Love Of Dogs gets going on April 13.
Paying tribute to Paul ITV's Managing Director of Media and Entertainment, Kevin Lygo, said: "We are fortunate to have had a long association with Paul, at ITV. He was a huge, inimitable talent, delighting our viewers through his comedy and entertainment with a warmth, humour and joy that audiences of all generations related to and connected with."
Kevin continued: "He had a profound passion for animals too, which resonated with so many viewers, and For The Love of Dogs remains one of our best-loved series, and a really special programme for so many. All those who worked with Paul are shocked and deeply saddened at his passing and the thoughts of everyone at ITV are with Paul’s loved ones.’
