ITV's Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has revealed that he had an angry debate with a viewer, and shared details of the bust-up with the person who "loathed" him.
As reported by BirminghamLive, Richard spoke to the press about his confrontation, saying: "I remember once, on a perfect summer’s morning I was walking along the cliff near our house in Cornwall and as I came round a bend in the path I saw this large man coming towards me.
"I could see from 50 paces that a) this guy knew who I was, and b) loathed me.”

The 65-year-old continued: "I was coming back along the path 45 minutes later and I saw him coming from the other direction, and this time as we approached I could see that he had thought of something to say.
“I said, ‘We meet again,’ and he said, ‘I just want you to know that everything you’ve ever done, everything you’ve ever said, everything you ever will say or do, I loathe and despise.'”
Earlier this week, the presenter for ITV was slammed further by viewers, and he said: "I also have to say congratulations…the British tabloids get a lot of criticism and stick.
"But we do have the finest headline writers in the world I think, and I love the headlines and they are all saying the same thing this morning about the McDonald’s story. They’re calling it the no fry zone."

Over on social media, Richard isn't feeling the love at all either. One Twitter user said: "The sooner Richard Madeley f***s off to GB News, where the careers go to die, the better. He isn't a journalist, he isn't playing devil's advocate, he's a septic t***. #GMB, @GMB, get rid."
Another said: "I swear Richard Madeley forgets he’s on the telly and thinks he’s just having a casual chat propped up at the bar of his local pub on a Saturday teatime. #GMB."
And a third wrote: "Sorry @GMB but Richard Madeley does not belong on your channel. His 'lock em up and throw away the key' politics should go off to GBN where he'd be more at home."
Good Morning Britain continues on Monday and every weekday on ITV from 6am onwards.
