Kate Garraway pleaded for "help" after Vic Reeves' remark on today's Good Morning Britain.
The 55-year-old broadcaster fronted Friday's edition of the ITV news programme alongside Ben Shephard. The two interviewed Jim Moir at the end of the latest episode, who is better known by his iconic stage name.
The comedian is renowned for his double act with Bob Mortimer and has thrilled audiences for nearly 40 years with his unique brand of surreal humour. Away from the stage, Vic has also pursued a successful career as an artist.

The comedian was speaking about his artistic endeavours on GMB as he prepares to hold his first ever exhibition in Cornwall this summer. However, the hosts were left in hysterics as the conversation descended into cockney rhyming slang.
He joked: "Richards being cockney rhyming slang for birds. Richard the Thirds"
Ben hit back that he thought it "meant something else" before Vic made a joke in reference to the infamous "poogate" incident from the ongoing Johnny Depp and Amber Heard lawsuit. He said: "That's an amber."
Ben Shephard was in stitches following the remark and called for the broadcast to be stopped. Kate Garraway cut to Lorraine Kelly for assistance. She said: "Help us".
The Scottish presenter agreed she thought the cockney rhyming slang stood for something else while viewers on Twitter erupted with laughter following the exchange.
Emily posted: "Oh my god! #AmberHeard new cockney rhyming slang for something ( and it’s NOT bird) Brilliant sign off from Vic Reeves there!!"
Herb added, alongside laughing emojis: "That’s an Amber"
Scott commented: "officially making #Amber the rhyming slang for #turd is the best thing today #gmb #lorraine"
