ITV Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway made an on-screen confession recently about her career and co-host on the show, Ben Shephard, was 'taken aback'. After first looking shocked as Kate came clean about the claim, Ben burst out laughing.
As usual, the morning programme covered the major news stories of the day, as well as debate and comment, sport and weather. In the jam-packed episode which aired on Friday, March 3, Ben and Kate discussed 'Is it wrong to embellish your CV?'
The topic arose after Danny Dyer revealed some of the untruths he had told when applying for a job - including, according to the show, claiming he was a trapeze artist who could juggle. As the pair anchored the show and debated the topic with guests, Kate opened up on her own experience.
Kate revealed she has only ever been asked to hand in a CV once during her career. She said: "The only time was when I applied for a summer job when I was doing A Levels at a loo roll packaging firm." She continued: "I do remember saying, I'm sure I wrote it down, that I was actually really organised."
Ben and Kate enjoy a close relationship, wrote Liverpool Echo, which claimed that Ben took a cheeky jibe at his co-host. The publication said that the Tipping Point host was in hysterics as he warned, you can get a criminal record for lying on your CV. He added: "Up to 10 years in jail."
Kate responded: "Are you suggesting that's criminal to say I'm organised?" Ben shot back: "What's the statute of limitations on Kate's lying."
