Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley went on a bizarre rant about divorce on this morning's show.
The ITV presenter was hosting with Kate Garraway as they discussed a new divorce law. He said: "In many, many cases you had blame being apportioned where there actually wasn't any real blame. It was all an act.

"And they would go to a hotel room with a member of the opposite sex and spend the night there, actually just drinking cups of tea. And then in the morning the partner would leave and be photographed by a private detective who had been tipped off and that evidence would be presented to the courts, and therefore you had a divorce on the grounds of adultery.
"But there had been no adultery, it was a complete fiction. Those days - I would have said - thankfully are behind us."
No-fault divorces have now come into force. According to the Government, The Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act (2020), represents the biggest shake up in divorce law for more than half a century.
It ends completely the need for separating couples to apportion blame for the breakdown of their marriage, helping them to instead focus on key practical decisions involving children or their finances and look to the future.
