The public's response to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's alleged 'queue jump' has caused ITV bosses to worry the duo will be booed at the National Television Awards (NTAs). The 'This Morning' presenters faced a backlash after pictures of them at Queen Elizabeth II's lying-in-state emerged and accusations flew about them jumping the queue.
Reports claim the pair visited Westminster Hall ahead of the late Queen's state funeral on Monday, September 19, to film a special segment for the ITV show. Claims they 'skipped' the lengthy queue outside have been denied by ITV, Mirror Online reported.
In an ITV statement, it said: "Phillip and Holly had full accreditation which was organised by the This Morning production team. Any claims otherwise are untrue." The duo has since faced a public petition calling for them to be sacked as presenters of This Morning and have been trolled mercilessly since the footage showed them being taken through to Westminster Hall to film a segment for the daytime TV show, as thousands waited for hours in the queue outside.

The NTAs take place at Wembley Arena on Thursday, October 13 and according to The Sun, bosses are concerned that the TV presenters could get heckled on the red carpet. This Morning has won either the Daytime Award or Live Magazine Show/Topical Magazine Programme Award at the ceremony every year since 2011.
A source said: “They could be booed walking down the red carpet or even on stage. It’s a major concern.”
Neither presenter has spoken publicly to the camera about the incident, which has been dubbed 'queuegate', but Holly returned to social media to support Loose Woman Kaye Adams' debut on Strictly Come Dancing.
Sharing a snap of Kaye dancing in a red dress with her professional dance partner Kai Widdrington, Holly captioned the screenshot: "G'wan @kayeadamsofficial ... This emoji was made for you [dancing lady emoji]."
Holly's latest Instagram update comes just hours after she broke her social media silence to congratulate pal Lisa Snowdon on winning Celebrity MasterChef on Friday, as she and Phil continue to be trolled over the false accusations of 'jumping the queue' at the late monarch's lying in state.
The Mirror contacted ITV representatives for further comment.
