Emmerdale viewers are convinced a worrying twist is on the way for Belle Dingle.
Wednesday's episode continued to explore the character's romance with Tom King. The two had previously dated on the show and planned to elope.
However, Tom eventually left without her and hasn't been since in the village until earlier this month. They have rekindled their romance and went out on a date together.

In Wednesday's episode, Belle wanted to be honest with Tom and open with her past. The character, played by Eden Taylor Draper, confessed how she accidentally killed Gemma Andrews in 2015.
Belle is still suffering from the psychological trauma and wanted to be honest about her mental health. However, she was concerned by Tom's reaction to the comment and brutally dumped the character at the end of the episode.
The character's romance was going from strength to strength so it's seemingly swift ending could come as a shock to fans. However, some fans praised Belle's decision and urged her to stick to her guns.
Michelle said: "Belle deserves better than him anyway."
Michael added: "Yes Belle! You're way too good for the miserable get anyway."
Other viewers following the show on Twitter were concerned as the credits rolled that Belle's mental health could take a downturn as the trauma from the incident came to the fore again.
Zombie404 said: "I have a feeling Belle might end up having another breakdown after all this…"
Another user added: "Think Belle might be having one of her episodes again."
