ITV Emmerdale viewers left confused over 'missing' character plot hole

Eagle-eyed Emmerdale fans have spotted a plot hole as the aftermath of Billy Fletcher and Dawn Taylor's wedding plays out.

Serial killer Meena Julta let the couple's wedding go ahead without a hitch, but she had a plan to ruin their reception, which was due to take place at Home Farm.

Chaos broke out as she kidnapped the newlyweds, drove them to a viaduct and threatened to shoot and kill just one of them.

But it ended badly for Meena; after making her escape from the hostage situation she instigated, she was pushed off a bridge by Dr Liam Cavanagh.

She hit her head on the rocks below, landing in the same spot where she killed the GP's daughter Leanna Cavanagh.

The latest episode revealed that Meena is still alive - and she's about to be released into police custody.

But conscientious viewers have been left confused after spotting a detail about a character who has been off-screen for a while.

Kim Tate was said to be sick by her partner Will Taylor, Dawn's dad, which is why she missed the wedding and was not at the reception, reports the Mirror.

But, as observant viewers pointed out, Kim actually left for a suspected business trip in Dubai earlier in the month.

Twitter user @JamieNews81 said: "So is Kim in Dubai or sick in bed? They said both in the last week #Emmerdale @emmerdale."

While @griannedoherty2 questioned: "Where the hell was Kim when everyone arrived back at her's after Meena's latest strike? Still sick in bed/in Dubai?

"Even so, thought she'd at least of checked Will & co were actually ok? Dawn is soon to be her Step-Daughter after all right? She did say she'd be there #Emmerdale"

Meanwhile, fans reckon that Meena will stick around until the autumn, with her exit making up part of a huge 50th anniversary celebration.
