Emmerdale viewers spotted a problem as Sam Dingle returned home from hospital.
Tuesday's episode continued to explore the fallout of the devastating storm that ripped through the village. The epic stunt was staged to mark the show's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Show bosses have warned up to eight major characters could be killed off in a dramatic month of episodes. Fans were concerned Sam would be one of the stars to quit the village when he was impaled by a spike after outrunning a herd of cows.

Sam has since been in hospital and become a grandad when Amelia Spencer gave birth last week. Samson Dingle is the child's dad and he was found safe in last night's show after he was missing in the storm.
The two Dingles returned home from hospital in tonight's show and had a talk on fatherhood. Samson has had reservations about becoming a father, but Sam assured him he would adapt.
However, viewers were distracted during the exchange as Sam and Samson made such quick recoveries from their injuries.
Kelly posted: "Storm clean up has taken longer than Sam and Samson were in hospital"
Lee said: "Last week Sam had a 24 inch steel spike through his left shoulder blade. This week he has a poxy sling on."
Jess commented: "That was a quick recovery for Sam? #Emmerdale I take it we’re still only a few days from a storm rather than weeks"
Leroy tweeted : "What part timer patched Sam up? He got speared for a fork."
Michelle said: "Sam and Samson out of the hospital already? The staff of Hotten general must be real miracle workers."
Anthony posted: "Is Sam the bionic man? Last week he was impaled on a 8 ft long metal fork This show is a joke"
Jay said: "Sam was stabbed through the heart and impaled on a pole 2 days ago, he is now out from hospital and just got a bad arm!"
