ITV Emmerdale viewers baffled by dead character's unexpected 'return'

Emmerdale viewers were baffled by a dead character's unexpected return in tonight's show.

Tuesday's episode continued to explore the fallout of Rhona Ghoskirk's confrontation with Naomi Walters. The character, played by Zoe Henry, was concerned Naomi was exerting an unhealthy influence on April Windsor.

April has got a belly button piercing and punched the schoolboy who was bullying Arthur Thomas. This prompted Rhona to warn Naomi to stay away from her in last night's dramatic episode.

Charity Dingle sacked Naomi from the Woolpack after she discovered what happened. However, April confessed in tonight's show that she got a piercing after seeing a social media advert and it had nothing to do with Naomi.

Rhona visited the Woolpack as she asked Charity to giver her job back. However, viewers were distracted from the action during tonight's show as they spotted a familiar face during the advert break.

Peggy posted: "Isn't that guy in the chocolate ad the copper Harriet and Dawn murdered?"

Paul tweeted an image of the TV screen, alongside the caption: "He’s alive!!!!!!!!!!"

Rob commented: "Malone in an ad in an #emmerdale break. Shouldn't be allowed"
